In the moment and in the midst of emotions, we don't always realize we're constructing a narrative. That perhaps we have created real feelings out of experiences that either haven't happened or don't know all the facts.

In this episode of Catch The Message, Victor shares a triumphant moment a young girl shared with him. After seeing his program in 3rd grade, she realized she connected as a survivor. Fear, however, overpowered her. Years later, as a sophomore, she heard him speak again. 

It's hard not to compare our childhood experiences to our current adult lives. What we lived through in our early years may have set up thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that we're trying to unlearn now. Not because we were bad or wrong, but perhaps those patterns do not serve...
